God made man for HIS companionship.  Then woman because He knew it was not good for man to be alone.  Yet, even today, in a world of 7+ BILLION men and women, man often feels totally alone – as if isolated on an unknown island!  An island of the mind.  Society has programmed us to believe that a real man doesn’t ask for help when life is on fire because a real man can fix anything, kill any beast, or build a bridge to overcome any obstacle – else, he’s not a real man at all.  Can you think of other teachings that society has gotten wrong?

Man IS in fact the hunter, the protector, the provider!  Man is also many other roles to many people: husband, father, priest, son, brother, example, mentor, teacher, leader, disciplinarian, handyman, servant, worker, employer, friend, apostle, son-in-law, brother-in-law, visionary, encourager, etc…  The simple days are long gone – our senses are bombarded with over 11 million bits of data every SECOND.  Our responsibilities grow daily, and so do the consequences.  Technology that promised to make things easier and faster has thrust us into a life that is all but out of control at times; and it’s only getting faster.  Pedal to the floor with more responsibilities, more threats, and more to overcome.  Mastering one’s life and inner peace requires an old approach. The wise man has much experience to share with those behind him.  But few will ask – preferring to suffer as real men rather than fall from the false stereotype where we play.

No matter the consequences, the path to destruction is often chosen over that of “the weak.”  Clinging to a crumbling facade, we are often determined to fight alone, but HIS wisdom teaches us that we are all brothers, closer than blood, who thrive in the love, support, trust, and counsel of each other.  This brotherhood is HIS and transcends all divisions created by man & the adversary.  We are all one team, one destiny.  Children of the King need not suffer alone; we were made to love. Made to defend, to serve, & to carry our Brothers through the storms – no shame, no fear, no need too small.  Every part of the body is loved.

Here on a mission, with supernatural providence.  He has laid out a plan for His children, and we Brothers are here to do our part.  As servant leaders, we must be good stewards of the tools and gifts He has given.  These tools are not of the world; nor are the ways we must operate to fulfill His plan. They are His ways.  And they work.  This fight, we are not alone, but we have the guiding of the Great Commander with a guaranteed victory if we just follow His instruction.  Trusting Him is the only way.  Victory is foretold, but His Champions are yet to be revealed.

The proud will not make it, but the least will be first.
